		<official-title>To amend title 46, United States Code, to ensure continuing funding for the United States Merchant
			 Marine Academy.</official-title>

		<section id="H10DFDE16B8F74D79BCAA99A9D25862B0" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Midshipmen Education Certainty Act</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="H596328A5CCF44C67877CBA307A097A44"><enum>2.</enum><header>Continuing funding for the United States Merchant Marine Academy</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline"><external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/46/51301">Section 51301</external-xref> of title 46, United States Code, is amended by adding at the end the following:</text>
			<quoted-block id="H21D23D7734B1486EB5DC1520D615D3CB" style="OLC">
				<subsection id="HCF91D291ADAF4A5DB28C2D496574D8CE"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Continuing funding</header>
					<paragraph id="H90D228F222BA42A6A03C22EBF2235775"><enum>(1)</enum><header>In general</header><text>Out of any funds in the general fund of the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, there are hereby
			 appropriated such sums as are necessary for operations of the United
			 States Merchant Marine Academy for any period during which interim or
			 full-year appropriations are not in effect for the United States Merchant
			 Marine Academy, for fiscal year 2014 and each fiscal year thereafter.</text>
					</paragraph><paragraph id="H42E8B85E73B24C76B7634CD6D4791091"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Termination</header><text>Funds made available for a fiscal year by this subsection shall remain available until whichever of
			 the following first occurs:</text>
						<subparagraph id="H2CF8EF95E4DB451DAC81E5A8DD199239"><enum>(A)</enum><text>The enactment into law of an appropriation for such fiscal year (including a continuing
			 appropriation) for such operations.</text>
						</subparagraph><subparagraph id="H66A1AFA3A50840B19B5C2F1256421643"><enum>(B)</enum><text>The enactment into law for the Maritime Administration of the applicable regular appropriation for
			 such fiscal year, or continuing appropriations resolution for such fiscal
			 year, without any appropriation for such operations.</text></subparagraph></paragraph></subsection><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
