		<section id="H94BDEABF4D014ACFBC6ECFDB53B70157" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>American Manufacturing Jobs for Students Act</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="HC0C3DA93FD394DF09BC76F81FEEF3CA2"><enum>2.</enum><header>Career education pathways</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 5421 of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 (20 U.S.C. 7245) is amended—</text>
			<paragraph id="H6C3B5F03573848F69E7DC30B946005F7"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in subsection (a)(2)—</text>
				<subparagraph id="H9BC22EFB02B7462BAF52A28FF3323C40"><enum>(A)</enum><text>by striking <quote>and</quote> at the end of subparagraph (B);</text>
				</subparagraph><subparagraph id="H9AE1C2A8BB3446AB99283BC99231E00D"><enum>(B)</enum><text>by striking the period at the end of subparagraph (C) and inserting <quote>; and</quote>; and</text>
				</subparagraph><subparagraph id="HC0264D83533E4DD1B89C4F271CB34180"><enum>(C)</enum><text>by adding at the end the following:</text>
					<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H515424A219914B2DBC9D5F42DDB50009" style="OLC">
						<subparagraph id="H5CC7D9A7F5804D7E9CD49165A224E177"><enum>(D)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">significantly engage students, in a coordinated effort with local manufacturing employers,
			 teachers, students, and parents, to promote careers in the manufacturing
			 field.</text></subparagraph><after-quoted-block>; and</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
				</subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph id="H09DBE88F87E345BABE262719028C1EAD"><enum>(2)</enum><text>in subsection (c)(2)—</text>
				<subparagraph id="H299A21E7A4224798911B4EE4A8615F4A"><enum>(A)</enum><text>by striking <quote>and</quote> at the end of subparagraph (K);</text>
				</subparagraph><subparagraph id="H12B00B5346F446BAAD68AE1AC15AC6BC"><enum>(B)</enum><text>by striking the period at the end of subparagraph (L) and inserting <quote>; and</quote>; and</text>
				</subparagraph><subparagraph id="HAA9A508F299640859A62F9B0A19941A8"><enum>(C)</enum><text>by adding at the end the following:</text>
					<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H1AC39D8E91EF421CAFB5B73ED7813AA1" style="OLC">
						<subparagraph id="HBFB550B268114CA59E332F04BBE4358E"><enum>(M)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">provide students in grades 7 through 12 with—</text>
							<clause id="H190DDDF33A67493A824CB171C7242788"><enum>(i)</enum><text>information on career and educational pathways leading to jobs and career opportunities in the
			 labor markets of the geographic area of the local educational agency of
			 the school, particularly in the manufacturing field; and</text>
							</clause><clause id="H736FA26EB3C74C93A5F952C49A01F412"><enum>(ii)</enum><text>opportunities for interaction with employers of such labor markets, with preference given to
			 employers in the manufacturing field, including opportunities to visit the
			 workplaces of such employers to facilitate a greater understanding of the
			 job requirements, job opportunities, and what the job entails.</text></clause></subparagraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
