		<section id="HC5BDBE819D0C4B54BD5AEFD5CA6E6347" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Revision to requirements relating to 
Department of Defense policy on retention of evidence in a sexual assault case to allow return of
			 personal property upon completion of related proceedings</header>
			<text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 586 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2012 (<external-xref legal-doc="public-law" parsable-cite="pl/112/81">Public Law 112–81</external-xref>; 125
			 Stat. 1435; <external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/10/1561">10 U.S.C. 1561</external-xref> note) is amended by adding at the end the
			 following new subsection:</text><quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="idCA9326B7DD0F48E4BAC61732CC61E683" style="OLC"><subsection id="idFFDBE8AAE8294308AD7004C05357E896"><enum>(f)</enum><header>Return of personal property upon completion of related proceedings</header><text>Notwithstanding subsection (c)(4)(A), personal property retained as evidence in connection with an
			 incident of sexual assault involving a member of the Armed Forces may be
			 returned to the rightful owner of such property after the conclusion of
			 all legal, adverse action, and administrative proceedings related to such
			 incident.</text></subsection><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></section></legis-body>
