		<official-title>To amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to make permanent certain provisions of the Heartland,
			 Habitat, Harvest, and Horticulture Act of 2008 relating to timber, and for
			 other purposes.</official-title>

		<section id="H510143AE313A43D99498FACDF1E9F52C" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Timber Revitalization and Economic Enhancement Act of 2014</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="HA4ED17D39EC24C97881D683E189B20A6"><enum>2.</enum><header>Treatment of timber gains</header>
			<subsection id="HB2B542FC3BB845A3BB21550766B82E30"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Special rate made permanent</header><text>Paragraph (1) of <external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/26/1201">section 1201(b)</external-xref> of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 is amended by striking <quote>ending after the date</quote> and all that follows through <quote>after such date</quote> and inserting <quote>beginning after the date of the enactment of the <short-title>Timber Revitalization and Economic Enhancement Act of 2014</short-title></quote>.</text>
			</subsection><subsection id="H67B74171075B4749B2824F8876A87F76"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Adjustment of special rate</header>
				<paragraph id="H563DBFCEB3694221AD3BE8E23FB49736"><enum>(1)</enum><header>In general</header><text>Clause (i) of section 1201(b)(1)(B) of such Code is amended by striking <quote>15 percent</quote> and inserting <quote>20 percent</quote>.</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="HC58E103BAFB247DDA416B2C7ADA2BBD2"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Conforming amendment</header><text>Section 55(b) of such Code is amended by striking paragraph (4).</text>
				</paragraph></subsection><subsection id="H0C62417347A447E79D2708C49223542D"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Computation for taxable years in which rate first applies</header><text>Paragraph (3) of section 1201(b) of such Code is amended to read as follows:</text>

					<paragraph id="HD4CE732489274B588DAF8C177FE2CCB8"><enum>(3)</enum><header>Computation for taxable years in which rate first applies</header><text>In the case of any taxable year which includes the date of the enactment of the <short-title>Timber Revitalization and Economic Enhancement Act of 2014</short-title>, the qualified timber gain for such year shall not exceed the qualified timber gain properly taken
			 into account for the portion of the year after such date.</text></paragraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
			</subsection><subsection id="H150A35B43A0548D0B404EBB90A895B6E"><enum>(d)</enum><header>Effective date</header><text>The amendments made by this section shall apply to taxable years beginning after the date of the
			 enactment of this Act.</text>
