<section id="H99B5E8A7FED748AFA2C4CB8227CBBB11" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Independent Counsel Reauthorization Act of 2014</short-title></quote>.</text></section> 
<section id="H1D94236248CD455BB4EAE22727295ABA"><enum>2.</enum><header>Reauthorization of <external-xref legal-doc="usc-chapter" parsable-cite="usc-chapter/28/40">chapter 40</external-xref> of title 28, United States Code</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline"><external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/28/599">Section 599</external-xref> of title 28, United States Code, is amended by striking <quote>This chapter shall cease to be effective five years after the date of the enactment of the Independent Counsel Reauthorization Act of 1994</quote> and inserting <quote>This chapter shall have effect during the period beginning on the date of the enactment of the <short-title>Independent Counsel Reauthorization Act of 2014</short-title> and ending on the day 5 years after such date</quote>. </text> </section>
