		<section id="H937E31C7E602467686AB51367166B173" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Global Internet Freedom Act of 2014</short-title></quote> or the <quote><short-title>GIF Act of 2014</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="HA367BCA1E3234B03AE753CB223018010"><enum>2.</enum><header>NTIA prohibited from relinquishing responsibility for IANA functions</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">The Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Communications and Information may not relinquish the
			 responsibility of the National Telecommunications and Information
			 Administration with respect to the Internet Assigned Numbers Authority
			 functions, including the following:</text>
			<paragraph id="H327F01E765744AFABC99D18DAD45BC2F"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Coordination of the assignment of technical Internet protocol parameters.</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="H14D3BF52975B4C8B8C98BB1ED879A975"><enum>(2)</enum><text>Performance of administrative functions associated with Internet domain name system root zone
			 management.</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="HC35E1B636E864D35ADD36C67467E3D4F"><enum>(3)</enum><text>Allocation of Internet numbering resources.</text>
