		<section id="H187EF6AC6DD34274884863CB71708504" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>School District 318 Land Exchange Act</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="H13CD58FEC635470EB0793EAFE0913431"><enum>2.</enum><header>Purposes</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">The purposes of this Act are—</text>
			<paragraph id="HDC4A295C80EF49888FD4C2CBC8428670"><enum>(1)</enum><text>to provide greater safety to the students of the Robert J. Elkington Middle School and the families
			 of those students in Grand Rapids, Minnesota; and</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="HACB7768AD8314827A6846260DB49B153"><enum>(2)</enum><text>to promote the mission of the United States Geological Survey.</text>
			</paragraph></section><section id="HE04E6F6977A54D17AED3CD41304F8862"><enum>3.</enum><header>Definitions</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">In this Act:</text>
			<paragraph id="H9FA047AD83EE44EE94A604B15C1F50BA"><enum>(1)</enum><header>District</header><text>The term <term>District</term> means Minnesota Independent School District number 318 in Grand Rapids, Minnesota.</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="H26DA89666D6140018EC3FC4F2C7FC74E"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Federal land</header>
				<subparagraph id="HDAE8E00A736A4A258976091B8733F515"><enum>(A)</enum><header>In general</header><text>The term <term>Federal land</term> means the parcel of approximately 1.3 acres of United States Geological Survey land identified as
			 USGS Parcel 91-016-4111 on the map, which was transferred to the
			 Department of the Interior by the General Services Administration by a
			 letter dated July 22, 1965.</text>
				</subparagraph><subparagraph id="H4899B8AF5CFC4AAFA155737F2B9EFF52"><enum>(B)</enum><header>Inclusion</header><text>The term <term>Federal land</term> includes any structures on the land described in subparagraph (A).</text>
				</subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph id="H0284B3BCBC234F488C089C17427FD65B"><enum>(3)</enum><header>Map</header><text>The term <term>map</term> means each of the maps entitled <quote>USGS and School Parcel Locations</quote> and dated January 15, 2014.</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="H854DB445B08946A7A83B058DC771F889"><enum>(4)</enum><header>Non-Federal land</header>
				<subparagraph id="HE05A246EEDBF49C7A08B1530315F07E5"><enum>(A)</enum><header>In general</header><text>The term <term>non-Federal land</term> means the parcel of approximately 1.6 acres of District land identified as School Parcel
			 91-540-1210 on the map.</text>
				</subparagraph><subparagraph id="HC7347DBE59444F56BD677E310CDB7A78"><enum>(B)</enum><header>Inclusion</header><text>The term <term>non-Federal land</term> includes any structures on the land described in subparagraph (A).</text>
				</subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph id="H1465E735B5374F0189E925F86B835DBA"><enum>(5)</enum><header>Secretary</header><text>The term <term>Secretary</term> means the Secretary of the Interior.</text>
			</paragraph></section><section id="HAF4C7E636F9E444EB8D7A9BDE0FE4245"><enum>4.</enum><header>Exchange of Federal land and non-Federal land</header>
			<subsection id="HC62FDA6221EF4E7B85901EAD89B57317"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text>If the District offers to convey to the United States all right, title, and interest of the
			 District in and to the non-Federal land, the Secretary shall—</text>
				<paragraph id="H1C1851F0FECB4E9687E135992174EBF5"><enum>(1)</enum><text>accept the offer; and</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="HC3C165AD49794B8A9A6AFFA07D07C847"><enum>(2)</enum><text>convey to the District all right, title, and interest of the United States in and to the Federal
			 land.</text>
				</paragraph></subsection><subsection id="H1300A26807CC4DDC8C8A24A5DAD229AE"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Valuation</header>
				<paragraph id="H50CF72FB273A4499A1A4CFF31E069238"><enum>(1)</enum><header>In general</header><text>The value of the Federal land and non-Federal land to be exchanged under subsection (a) shall be
			 determined—</text>
					<subparagraph id="H9323E74992C643B68DD3AD7FA08820B9"><enum>(A)</enum><text>by an independent appraiser selected by the Secretary; and</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="H86F176DED3B24BA4B3DED3102A96E9AF"><enum>(B)</enum><text>in accordance with the Uniform Appraisal Standards for Federal Land Acquisitions and the Uniform
			 Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice.</text>
					</subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph id="H9BD1F62CB73943D49D62935333E7BDB8"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Approval</header><text>Appraisals conducted under paragraph (1) shall be submitted to the Secretary for approval.</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="H5611A14079874F35A1961DF297CD8229"><enum>(3)</enum><header>Cash equalization payments</header>
					<subparagraph id="HBAEB8761FC0D4CECA87EAFB4926712EA"><enum>(A)</enum><header>In general</header><text>If the value of the Federal land and non-Federal land to be exchanged under subsection (a) is not
			 of equal value, the value shall be equalized through a cash equalization
			 payment to the Secretary.</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="H4169DF5C59FE4A01B8B4FE1D288742FF"><enum>(B)</enum><header>Use of amounts</header><text>Amounts received under subparagraph (A) shall be deposited in the Treasury and credited to
			 miscellaneous receipts.</text>
					</subparagraph></paragraph></subsection></section></legis-body>
