			<text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 1232(a) of the Public Health Service Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/300d-32">42 U.S.C. 300d–32(a)</external-xref>) is amended by striking <quote>2014</quote> and inserting <quote>2019</quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="HB702571142BA4BF293BAA10A576DB5BE"><enum>3.</enum><header>Improvements and clarifications to certain trauma care programs</header>
			<subsection id="H1CD7F84C8F4C4A98A6AE599FB99F837D"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Allocation of funds for competitive grants for regionalized systems for emergency care response</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 1232(c) of the Public Health Service Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/300d-31">42 U.S.C. 300d–31(c)</external-xref>) is amended—</text>
				<paragraph id="HA0CCA9A3811C4DECBA6A21063E3EE9E7"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in paragraph (1), by striking <quote>and</quote> at the end;</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="H52C16E7F49F343739BDCB8E120A75BFA"><enum>(2)</enum><text>in paragraph (2), by striking the period at the end and inserting <quote>; and</quote>; and</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="HB704BE0D94C04E4AB6D059EA38949D89"><enum>(3)</enum><text>by adding at the end the following new paragraph:</text>

						<paragraph id="H890D24124DA448C7A79F53A8EA2CFE23"><enum>(3)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">for a fiscal year after fiscal year 2014, not more than 50 percent of such amounts remaining for
			 such fiscal year after application of paragraphs (1) and (2) shall be
			 allocated for the purpose of carrying out section 1204.</text></paragraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
				</paragraph></subsection><subsection id="H6BF899CBF1EC498286ECA563E52F47CC"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Clarifications under trauma systems formula grants requirements relating to the American Burn
			 Association</header><text>Section 1213 of the Public Health Service Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/300d-13">42 U.S.C. 300d–13</external-xref>) is amended—</text>
				<paragraph id="H9229AE9FC0AF450387F47501EB6E7171"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in subsection (a)(3), by inserting <quote>and (for a fiscal year after fiscal year 2014) contains national standards and requirements of the
			 American Burn Association for the designation of verified burn centers,</quote> after <quote>such entity,</quote>;</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="HB9886910AF974F0781AD80B9F90AB4F6"><enum>(2)</enum><text>in subsection (b)(3)(A), by striking <quote>and the American Academy of Pediatrics,</quote> and inserting <quote>the American Academy of Pediatrics, and (for a fiscal year after fiscal year 2014) the American
			 Burn Association</quote>; and</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="H6A97D5206C294FC69C863E943626BC92"><enum>(3)</enum><text>in subsection (c)(1)—</text>
					<subparagraph id="H5C6C434FF56B4C33AB53BEE6DBA56658"><enum>(A)</enum><text>in the matter preceding subparagraph (A), by inserting <quote>and not later than 1 year after the date of the enactment of the Trauma Systems and Regionalization
			 of Emergency Care Reauthorization Act</quote> after <quote>Act of 2007</quote>; and</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="H079D6EEBA41B4EAEB28A036787E7A0F5"><enum>(B)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">in subparagraph (A), by striking <quote>and the American Academy of Pediatrics</quote> and inserting <quote>the American Academy of Pediatrics, and (with respect to the update pursuant to the Trauma Systems
			 and Regionalization of Emergency Care Reauthorization Act) the American
			 Burn Association</quote>.</text>

					</subparagraph></paragraph></subsection><subsection id="HF18DF7CC33EA4C3996D20521FB5EC536"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Conforming amendments</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Part B of title XII of the Public Health Service Act is amended—</text>
				<paragraph id="H1DDDF7A7E86F4A73A92E61089019536E"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in section 1218(c)(2) (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/300d-18">42 U.S.C. 300d–18(c)(2)</external-xref>), in the matter preceding subparagraph (A), by
			 striking <quote>1232(b)(3)</quote> and inserting <quote>section 1232(b)</quote>; and</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="H37F0C84EB8FC4018AEE374DEB113EC36"><enum>(2)</enum><text>in section 1222 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/300d-22">42 U.S.C. 300d–22</external-xref>), by striking <quote>October 1, 2008</quote> and inserting <quote>October 1, 2016</quote>.</text>
