R. 3818</legis-num><current-chamber>IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES</current-chamber><action><action-date date="20140108">January 8, 2014</action-date><action-desc><sponsor name-id="D000615">Mr. Duncan of South Carolina</sponsor> introduced the following bill; which was referred to the <committee-name committee-id="HIF00">Committee on Energy and Commerce</committee-name>, and in addition to the Committee on <committee-name committee-id="HPW00">Transportation and Infrastructure</committee-name>, for a period to be subsequently determined by the Speaker, in each case for consideration of such provisions as fall within the jurisdiction of the committee concerned</action-desc></action><legis-type>A BILL</legis-type><official-title>To repeal certain amendments to the Energy Policy and Conservation Act with respect to lighting energy efficiency.</official-title></form><legis-body id="H0589C520852F42B8B1A4B093AE8D0AB6" style="OLC"><section id="H0F8A5563AE8C410F91C7132A5856632B" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Thomas Edison BULB Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section><section id="H9FE4D24C5F18457F8C13CE7A06DD2E8C" section-type="subsequent-section"><enum>2.</enum><header>Lighting energy efficiency</header><subsection id="H78D7816347AF4BEFAF47EF745A7EA2E9"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text>Subtitle B of title III of the Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007 (<external-xref legal-doc="public-law" parsable-cite="pl/110/140">Public Law 110–140</external-xref>) is repealed.</text></subsection><subsection id="H5F9398EA80CC4984AE8C7CF26A3E53E0"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Application</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The Energy Policy and Conservation Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/6201">42 U.S.C. 6201 et seq.</external-xref>) shall be applied and administered as if subtitle B of title III of the Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007 (and the amendments made by that subtitle) had not been enacted.</text></subsection></section></legis-body></bill>
