<section id="HE63B22693D3C419CB6539FFF5D448512" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Extension of legislative authority for memorial establishment</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 1 of <external-xref legal-doc="public-law" parsable-cite="pl/107/62">Public Law 107–62</external-xref> (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/40/1003">40 U.S.C. 1003</external-xref> note), as amended by <external-xref legal-doc="public-law" parsable-cite="pl/111/169">Public Law 111–169</external-xref>, is amended—</text> 
<paragraph id="HBC0FB7389D7F4BA18BB0B679FBEBA230"><enum>(1)</enum><text>by striking “2013” and inserting “2020” in subsection (c); and</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H3D04FB7479E845DE809C268272ECBC9C"><enum>(2)</enum><text>by amending subsection (e) to read as follows: </text>

<subsection id="HFA7AADE783F74522B2E2555EE1035E06"><enum>(e)</enum><header>Deposit of Excess Funds for Established Memorial</header> 
<paragraph id="H1F809088AD114F6289A1A39C7F9F5CB7"><enum>(1)</enum><text>If upon payment of all expenses for the establishment of the memorial (including the maintenance and preservation amount required by <external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/40/8906">section 8906(b)(1)</external-xref> of title 40, United States Code), there remains a balance of funds received for the establishment of the commemorative work, the Adams Memorial Foundation shall transmit the amount of the balance to the account provided for in <external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/40/8906">section 8906(b)(3)</external-xref> of title 40, United States Code.</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H9D197F80C13042AC89062306BDD3B639"><enum>(2)</enum><text>If upon expiration of the authority for the commemorative work under <external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/40/8903">section 8903(e)</external-xref> of title 40, United States Code, there remains a balance of funds received for the establishment of the commemorative work, the Adams Memorial Foundation shall transmit the amount of the balance to a separate account with the National Park Foundation for memorials, to be available to the Secretary of the Interior or the Administrator (as appropriate) following the process provided for in <external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/40/8906">section 8906(b)(4)</external-xref> of title 40, United States Code, for accounts established under section 8906(b)(2) or (3) of title 40, United States Code.</text></paragraph></subsection><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></paragraph></section>
