		<official-title>To amend the Controlled Substances Act to allow a
		  veterinarian to transport and dispense controlled substances in the usual
		  course of veterinary practice outside of the registered
		  location.</official-title>

		<section id="H0CE8DB0E7CC44AF698F2DCA9858601B1" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote><short-title>Veterinary Medicine Mobility Act of
			 2013</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="H42FF10E11D194E7EBCB2DF073EAA7BB7"><enum>2.</enum><header>Transport and
			 dispensing of controlled substances in the usual course of veterinary
			 practice</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 302(e) of the
			 Controlled Substances Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/21/822">21 U.S.C. 822(e)</external-xref>) is amended—</text>
			<paragraph id="H4284EB034652457BAD4B24E421A86380"><enum>(1)</enum><text>by striking
			 <quote>(e)</quote> and inserting <quote>(e)(1)</quote>; and</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="H98BF7393950641B1B08887DE81CDDC35"><enum>(2)</enum><text>by adding at the
			 end the following:</text>
				<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H1C3946419F5D4F1188E1D8CF81863F68" style="OLC">
					<paragraph id="HA966A82883BC4615A7DD0FBD915DB382" indent="up1"><enum>(2)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Notwithstanding paragraph (1), a registrant
				who is a veterinarian shall not be required to have a separate registration in
				order to transport and dispense controlled substances in the usual course of
				veterinary practice at a site other than the registrant’s registered principal
				place of business or professional practice, so long as the site of dispensing
				is located in a State where the veterinarian is licensed to practice veterinary
				medicine.</text>
