		<official-title>To amend section 5000A of the Internal Revenue Code of
		  1986 to provide an additional religious exemption from the individual health
		  coverage mandate.</official-title>

		<section id="H3314BCBAD2FB4AE3A948ACBE6E2C40C8" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote><short-title>Equitable Access to Care and Health
			 Act</short-title></quote> or the <quote><short-title>EACH
			 Act</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="idDB02C8ED367149DBB4209749D87E31B0" section-type="subsequent-section"><enum>2.</enum><header>Additional religious
			 exemption to health coverage mandate</header>
			<subsection id="HF53ED056FEE6434BA4742A76017DA5EE"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In
			 general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Paragraph (2) of
			 <external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/26/5000A">section 5000A(d)</external-xref> of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 is amended by adding at
			 the end the following new subparagraph:</text>
				<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="HF0E8050F3A7E456EA3AD6EBEF710247E" style="OLC">
					<subparagraph id="H6A24E649A39C4730B5B4430DF9BB9597"><enum>(C)</enum><header>Additional
				religious exemption</header>
						<clause id="H6DED4ED6D26F47448CBC14EB1898C353"><enum>(i)</enum><header>In
				general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Such term shall not
				include an individual for any month during a taxable year if such individual
				files a sworn statement, as part of the return of tax for the taxable year,
				that the individual was not covered under minimum essential coverage at any
				time during such taxable year and that the individual’s sincerely held
				religious beliefs would cause the individual to object to medical health care
				that would be covered under such coverage.</text>
						</clause><clause id="H84BEA4DC34514DD18D1372F7755CEE07"><enum>(ii)</enum><header>Nullified if
				receipt of medical health care during taxable year</header><text>Clause (i)
				shall not apply to an individual for any month during a taxable year if the
				individual received medical health care during the taxable year.</text>
						</clause><clause id="H897D91CC429C47C0BD2A1A59A056C694"><enum>(iii)</enum><header>Medical health
				care defined</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">For purposes of
				this subparagraph, the term <term>medical health care</term> means voluntary
				health treatment by or supervised by a medical doctor that would be covered
				under minimum essential coverage and—</text>
							<subclause id="H34FB5EB123BD48E9B183E91D660B9577"><enum>(I)</enum><text>includes voluntary
				acute care treatment at hospital emergency rooms, walk-in clinics, or similar
				facilities, and</text>
							</subclause><subclause id="H9EEAAFAD469B4F68A668160329B7E813"><enum>(II)</enum><text>excludes—</text>
								<item id="id0800B19CEA884290AD8CBB2C2A765593"><enum>(aa)</enum><text>treatment not
				administered or supervised by a medical doctor, such as chiropractic treatment,
				dental care, midwifery, personal care assistance, or optometry,</text>
								</item><item id="H1F1038E4AAFB4617BF444DD8D83D27ED"><enum>(bb)</enum><text>physical
				examinations or treatment where required by law or third parties, such as a
				prospective employer, and</text>
								</item><item id="id0140E00529C5480F84B03A8F13D56CEC"><enum>(cc)</enum><text>vaccinations.</text>
								</item></subclause></clause></subparagraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
			</subsection><subsection id="H73762DC1472F4EF39C3FAD47F4C5650B"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Effective
			 date</header><text>The amendment made by subsection (a) shall take effect as if
			 included in the amendments made by section 1501 of the Patient Protection and
			 Affordable Care Act.</text>
