		<official-title>To allow acceleration certificates awarded under the
		  Patents for Humanity Program to be transferable.</official-title>

		<section id="S1" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short
			 title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as
			 the <quote><short-title>Patents for Humanity Program
			 Improvement Act of 2013</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="id24F4D41920B24173B3E8D75361E3FC8F"><enum>2.</enum><header>Transferability
			 of Acceleration Certificates</header>
			<subsection id="id337AA8DEF7D84E428D38EFAFB7A92E0C"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In
			 general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">A holder of an
			 acceleration certificate issued pursuant to the Patents for Humanity Program
			 (established in the notice entitled <quote>Humanitarian Awards Pilot
			 Program</quote>, published at 77 Fed. Reg. 6544 (February 8, 2012)), or any
			 successor thereto, of the United States Patent and Trademark Office, may
			 transfer (including by sale) the entitlement to such acceleration certificate
			 to another person.</text>
			</subsection><subsection id="idC864E228B56247F0B6C68AC4F8DBC73F"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Requirement</header><text>An
			 acceleration certificate transferred under subsection (a) shall be subject to
			 any other applicable limitations under the notice entitled <quote>Humanitarian
			 Awards Pilot Program</quote>, published at 77 Fed. Reg. 6544 (February 8,
			 2012), or any successor thereto.</text>
