		  Service funds to rural States.</official-title></form><legis-body><section id="S1" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short
			 title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote><short-title>USF Equitable Distribution Act of
			 2013</short-title></quote>.</text></section><section id="idA81EE99E51354AD69C33582C73681932"><enum>2.</enum><header>Distribution of
			 Universal Service funds</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 254 of the Communications Act of
			 1934 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/47/254">47 U.S.C. 254</external-xref>) is amended by adding at the end the following:</text><quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="idC64438B29F524510A33D127DAE4CB4F4" style="OLC"><subsection id="id908718CB1A8F4B1C85070804582F81C8"><enum>(m)</enum><header>Distribution of
				Universal Service funds</header><paragraph id="idF51E40CAFD954EB186A7FD37828DB6C0"><enum>(1)</enum><header>In
				general</header><text>Not less than 75 percent of all amounts collected by
				providers of interstate telecommunications from consumers in a rural State for the purpose of
				making contributions under subsection (d) shall be allocated to the provision
				of universal service to consumers in that rural State.</text></paragraph><paragraph id="id56431C6A8EF540F6AE632FE5A09CBF09"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Rural
				State</header><text>In this subsection, the term <term>rural State</term> means
				a State in which the total population density is not more than 200 people per
				square mile, as determined by the latest available decennial census conducted
				under <external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/13/141">section 141(a)</external-xref> of title 13, United States
				Code.</text></paragraph><paragraph id="idC1FC7749DA4D46A2AD1040C58134B810"><enum>(3)</enum><header>Amounts collected</header><text>Nothing in this subsection shall be construed as requiring an increase in amounts collected by providers of interstate telecommunications from consumers for the purpose of making contributions under subsection (d).</text></paragraph></subsection><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></section></legis-body></bill>
