		Russian RD–180 rocket engine</header><subsection id="idC448CC1434344B4EBCC8AC65A1E7F377"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In
		general</header><text>Not later than 180 days after the date of the enactment
		of this Act, the Secretary of Defense shall submit to the congressional defense
		committees a report on the Russian RD–180 rocket engine.</text></subsection><subsection id="id4F40C6C049EE41BEBC1FD2F41F602BC7"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Elements</header><text>The
		report required under subsection (a) shall include the following
		elements:</text><paragraph id="idbbdc99c5d2a24b9fbbf4026f3d3600e2"><enum>(1)</enum><text>An
		assessment of the feasibility of manufacturing an alternative rocket engine in the United
		States.</text></paragraph><paragraph id="id9715D39E262C4769AB1A6D7CBAFC043C"><enum>(2)</enum><text>An
		estimate of the cost of manufacturing an alternative rocket engine in the United States,
		including any cost savings that manufacturing a domestic alternative provides compared to the cost of buying
		Russian engines over the life of the Evolved Expendable Launch Vehicle program.</text></paragraph><paragraph id="id896D27E77C1D468AB8F2BF2BD56378F2"><enum>(3)</enum><text>A
		description of policy benefits and policy concerns related to where the rocket
		engine is manufactured.</text></paragraph></subsection><subsection id="idcc93a40666594b42a5c080915c9e5d52"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Comptroller
		General review</header><text>The Comptroller General shall review the report
		submitted under subsection (a) and submit the results of its study to the
		congressional defense committees.</text></subsection></section></legis-body></bill>
