		<official-title>To provide for the conveyance of certain Federal land in
		  the State of Oregon to the Cow Creek Band of Umpqua Tribe of
		  Indians.</official-title>

		<section id="S1" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short
			 title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as
			 the <quote><short-title>Canyon Mountain Land Conveyance
			 Act of 2013</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="id5687572D7C9747B1B17F9CD0EA002B90"><enum>2.</enum><header>Definitions</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">In this Act:</text>
			<paragraph id="idd0658c21b4834152b2bf048c0cf9394d"><enum>(1)</enum><header>Federal
			 land</header><text>The term <term>Federal land</term> means the approximately
			 17,826 acres of Federal land, as generally depicted on the map entitled
			 <quote>Canyon Mountain Land Conveyance</quote>, and dated June 27, 2013.</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="id73B5640175AC47A9873613911D575F70"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Planning
			 area</header><text>The term <term>planning area</term> means land—</text>
				<subparagraph id="id4561F85FB4B44E29980C47B35C1CDE38"><enum>(A)</enum><text>administered by
			 the Director of the Bureau of Land Management; and</text>
				</subparagraph><subparagraph id="idDAC4494DBA1B4F01BFF8E92A295FAD1B"><enum>(B)</enum><text>located
			 in—</text>
					<clause id="idECFD2E248D644F97A7BBD75C5F0DA0F0"><enum>(i)</enum><text>the
			 Coos Bay District;</text>
					</clause><clause id="id2B38EE1474F042B49CBB7747C2D27029"><enum>(ii)</enum><text>the Eugene
			 District;</text>
					</clause><clause id="id9B496C40B11A4D7E81D869EA09AD957F"><enum>(iii)</enum><text>the Medford
			 District;</text>
					</clause><clause id="id8B8579FF80A644A2B4815A5C3A48E73A"><enum>(iv)</enum><text>the Roseburg
			 District;</text>
					</clause><clause id="id80B696E101144B5E9A3EF805F2A3213E"><enum>(v)</enum><text>the
			 Salem District; and</text>
					</clause><clause id="idB24E0A1E9DA44AEC8565A651419208B0"><enum>(vi)</enum><text>the Klamath
			 Falls Resource Area of the Lakeview District.</text>
					</clause></subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph id="id70b1389e50fd4acfb138951064298cc4"><enum>(3)</enum><header>Definition of
			 public domain land</header>
				<subparagraph id="id0884D55995D4419D8E4E135AF2E6A3CE"><enum>(A)</enum><header>In
			 general</header><text>In this subsection, the term <term>public domain
			 land</term> has the meaning given the term <term>public lands</term> in section
			 103 of the Federal Land Policy and Management Act of 1976 (43 U.S.C.
			 1702).</text>
				</subparagraph><subparagraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id358D2161C58D4322B3FEE4B6A3F55907"><enum>(B)</enum><header>Exclusion</header><text>The
			 term <term>public domain land</term> does not include any land managed in
			 accordance with the Act of August 28, 1937 (50 Stat. 874, chapter 876; 43
			 U.S.C. 1181a et seq.).</text>
				</subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph id="id29538E590A344E3682C9DAF30C7D739F"><enum>(4)</enum><header>Secretary</header><text>The
			 term <term>Secretary</term> means the Secretary of the Interior.</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="id53857889da5a43d9a8658ceb89a83ba7"><enum>(5)</enum><header>Tribe</header><text>The
			 term <term>Tribe</term> means the Cow Creek Band of Umpqua Tribe of
			 Indians.</text>
			</paragraph></section><section id="idc2f27916cde845c9bb8c12a6e9400a76"><enum>3.</enum><header>Conveyance</header>
			<subsection id="idF51127EBFE314297B50BFDD1850E96B3"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In
			 general</header><text>Subject to valid existing rights, including
			 rights-of-way, all right, title, and interest of the United States in and to
			 the Federal land, including any improvements located on the Federal land,
			 appurtenances to the Federal land, and minerals on or in the Federal land,
			 including oil and gas, shall be—</text>
				<paragraph id="id88FA0D3B62644629B9AA8F5521F6BC0E"><enum>(1)</enum><text>held in trust by
			 the United States for the benefit of the Tribe; and</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="id2C223773831A42828B3C1CC80B08CC1D"><enum>(2)</enum><text>part of the
			 reservation of the Tribe.</text>
				</paragraph></subsection><subsection id="id9E9DEFA9C0A747C682E4DD73614D3C2D"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Survey</header><text>Not
			 later than 180 days after the date of enactment of this Act, the Secretary
			 shall complete a survey of the boundary lines to establish the boundaries of
			 the land taken into trust under subsection (a).</text>
			</subsection></section><section id="id84218E841CAB4784BF0D991661222625"><enum>4.</enum><header>Map and legal
			 description</header>
			<subsection id="id7AF97159BDD54910896D2A1EAB15FC30"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In
			 general</header><text>As soon as practicable after the date of enactment of
			 this Act, the Secretary shall file a map and legal description of the Federal
			 land with—</text>
				<paragraph id="idB4DE9CE65CAB4709970F5AD74E86DE27"><enum>(1)</enum><text>the Committee on
			 Energy and Natural Resources of the Senate; and</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="idFD8687C2DB754A43A7B8EA55471A5EB5"><enum>(2)</enum><text>the Committee on
			 Natural Resources of the House of Representatives.</text>
				</paragraph></subsection><subsection id="idCD0E88D3EF52447F893F49B4BDB82155"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Force and
			 effect</header><text>The map and legal description filed under subsection (a)
			 shall have the same force and effect as if included in this Act, except that
			 the Secretary may correct any clerical or typographical errors in the map or
			 legal description.</text>
			</subsection><subsection id="id0970E77556FD40D49F5FD3F89160793C"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Public
			 availability</header><text>The map and legal description filed under subsection
			 (a) shall be on file and available for public inspection in the Office of the
			 Secretary.</text>
			</subsection></section><section id="id06D96852FA3444D4B3FCEF2A6ED9CC20"><enum>5.</enum><header>Administration</header>
			<subsection id="id6342c4a5be5b40fc9570177c0ff38c45"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In
			 general</header><text>Unless expressly provided in this Act, nothing in this
			 Act affects any right or claim of the Tribe existing on the date of enactment
			 of this Act to any land or interest in land.</text>
			</subsection><subsection id="id18a917a9b3e64d90bd5608aeab51115d"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Prohibitions</header>
				<paragraph id="idaf619a48c9774a8f831974758c38c52a"><enum>(1)</enum><header>Exports of
			 unprocessed logs</header><text>Federal law (including regulations) relating to
			 the export of unprocessed logs harvested from Federal land shall apply to any
			 unprocessed logs that are harvested from the Federal land.</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="id2edf3558e1ee45ad8ff8031fa5623f32"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Non-permissible
			 use of land</header><text>Any real property taken into trust under section 3
			 shall not be eligible, or used, for any gaming activity carried out under
			 <external-xref legal-doc="public-law" parsable-cite="pl/100/497">Public Law 100–497</external-xref> (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/25/2701">25 U.S.C. 2701 et seq.</external-xref>).</text>
				</paragraph></subsection></section><section id="id96DD3C958ABF4630A87774A36EB02CCF"><enum>6.</enum><header>Forest
			 management</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Any commercial
			 forestry activity that is carried out on the Federal land shall be managed in
			 accordance with all applicable Federal laws.</text>
		</section><section id="id96429c7d27064a9d938f38f4ef2dc971"><enum>7.</enum><header>Land
			 reclassification</header>
			<subsection id="idceabf16a314547cd8dd5a63e0e78dc10"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Identification
			 of Oregon and California Railroad land</header><text>Not later than 180 days
			 after the date of enactment of this Act, the Secretary of Agriculture and the
			 Secretary shall identify any land owned by the Oregon and California Railroad
			 that is conveyed under section 3.</text>
			</subsection><subsection id="id09218E97FE7D451B8751D3E4C1F878D9"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Identification
			 of public domain land</header><text>Not later than 18 months after the date of
			 enactment of this Act, the Secretary shall identify public domain land
			 that—</text>
				<paragraph id="id37BB3C5C6BD64B209EA3DE9DCC6BA51E"><enum>(1)</enum><text>is approximately
			 equal in acreage and condition as the land identified under subsection (a);
			 and</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="idB93455D078A64BB8A2F989E6A3740772"><enum>(2)</enum><text>is located within
			 the planning area.</text>
				</paragraph></subsection><subsection id="id296f15ecc65c4d10bc4c5344085d1b12"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Maps</header><text>Not
			 later than 2 years after the date of enactment of this Act, the Secretary shall
			 submit to Congress and publish in the Federal Register 1 or more maps depicting
			 the land identified in subsections (a) and (b).</text>
			</subsection><subsection id="idadde0ee4aceb4ca9b41982229a8abb49"><enum>(d)</enum><header>Reclassification</header>
				<paragraph id="idC38EA7D5512C4089924DFF687E159DB8"><enum>(1)</enum><header>In
			 general</header><text>After providing an opportunity for public comment, the
			 Secretary shall reclassify the land identified in subsection (b) as land owned
			 by the Oregon and California Railroad.</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="idA262D861DB304747A987A6B12C557E23"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Applicability</header><text>The
			 Act of August 28, 1937 (50 Stat. 874, chapter 876; <external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/43/1181a">43 U.S.C. 1181a et seq.</external-xref>)
			 shall apply to land reclassified as land owned by the Oregon and California
			 Railroad under paragraph (1)(B).</text>
				</paragraph></subsection></section></legis-body>
