		<official-title>To amend the Water Resources Development Act of 2000 to
		  provide for expedited project implementation relating to the comprehensive
		  Everglades restoration plan.</official-title>

		<section id="HC4C09E6F6742440AB0E653A8D3C101F0" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote><short-title>Everglades for the Next Generation
			 Act</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="H6EE6A708B8B74D14ABFD6F46B200C047" section-type="subsequent-section"><enum>2.</enum><header>Comprehensive
			 Everglades restoration plan</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 601(d) of the Water Resources
			 Development Act of 2000 (<external-xref legal-doc="public-law" parsable-cite="pl/106/541">Public Law 106–541</external-xref>; 114 Stat. 2684) is amended—</text>
			<paragraph id="H4D3D3BB2A3104B37B4F023191701236D"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in paragraph (1),
			 by inserting <quote>and subject to paragraph (3)</quote> after
			 <quote>subsection (b) or (c)</quote>; and</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="HF4DBF7D8FE0345C29679ECAFA779BA4E"><enum>(2)</enum><text>by adding at the
			 end the following:</text>
				<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H9C187308A101421BB183313160F09DE5" style="OLC">
					<paragraph id="HCACB0086F82F48D694E2AB859865BCB6"><enum>(3)</enum><header>Expedited
				project implementation</header><text>After completing a project implementation
				report prepared in accordance with subsections (f) and (h), the Secretary may
				carry out, without any further congressional authorization, projects
				for—</text>
						<subparagraph id="H5DBD09B60A814A3A88F43CF453B7F809"><enum>(A)</enum><text>the Caloosahatchee
				River (C–43) West Basin Storage Reservoir;</text>
						</subparagraph><subparagraph id="HB7354AB1BCE44644957B4DA0E16D29F3"><enum>(B)</enum><text>the Biscayne Bay
				coastal wetland;</text>
						</subparagraph><subparagraph id="H77BD50F977254E6C904ABF0F940B31B9"><enum>(C)</enum><text>Broward County
				water preserve areas;</text>
						</subparagraph><subparagraph id="HA5F993D5BB93457AAF492628449178A3"><enum>(D)</enum><text>the C–111 Spreader
				Canal;</text>
						</subparagraph><subparagraph id="H72A8C456DCB74B26B02E0ECC4FBCDE5A"><enum>(E)</enum><text>any other project
				identified in the Plan for which a project implementation report is completed
				that is in accordance with an integrated delivery schedule approved by the
				Chief of Engineers and the South Florida Water Management District, in
				consultation with the South Florida Ecosystem Restoration Task Force, subject
				to the condition that the report is completed not later than 5 years after the
				date of enactment of this paragraph; and</text>
						</subparagraph><subparagraph id="H833A19E51B72402BACF702D30344A1B7"><enum>(F)</enum><text>any group of
				projects under the Plan that the Secretary determines will provide regional or
				watershed ecosystem or water supply benefits if the group of projects is
				constructed in accordance with a project implementation report approved by the
				Chief of Engineers and the South Florida Water Management District, in
				consultation with the South Florida Ecosystem Restoration Task Force, not later
				than 5 years after the date of enactment of this
				paragraph.</text>
						</subparagraph></paragraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
