		<official-title>To amend title 11 of the United States Code to provide
		  additional protections for debtors from discrimination by private employers,
		  and for other purposes.</official-title>

		<section id="HD019E1CEBC40443B89D0418A1B55ADC0" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote><short-title>Bankruptcy Nondiscrimination
			 Enhancement Act of 2013</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="HF2296A9C8992449B8CB280D5EE868C13"><enum>2.</enum><header>Amendments</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline"><external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/11/525">Section 525(b)</external-xref> of title 11 of the United
			 States Code is amended—</text>
			<paragraph id="H5DEE94208EA14FB3B7D5CA54B097B576"><enum>(1)</enum><text>by inserting
			 <quote>deny employment to,</quote> after <quote>may</quote>, and</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="HFB636525C1BD471E85D8A8738B60796F"><enum>(2)</enum><text>by striking
			 <quote>solely</quote>.</text>
			</paragraph></section><section id="HF5A86ED5D1114559ACB508697ED37989"><enum>3.</enum><header>Effective date;
			 application of amendments</header>
			<subsection id="HCB96850AA1BB4FA5B4407DB19E811719"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Effective
			 date</header><text>Except as provided in subsection (b), this Act and the
			 amendments made by this Act shall take effect on the date of the enactment of
			 this Act.</text>
			</subsection><subsection id="H3D639C1FAFAD481E9FCEBEBB771BB6BB"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Application of
			 amendments</header><text>The amendments made by this Act shall apply only with
			 respect to cases commenced under title 11 of the United States Code on or after
			 the date of the enactment of this Act.</text>
