		  requirements for the contents of the Transition Assistance Program, and for

		<section id="H26099B81584548CDB0B9A3DDB5335160" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote><short-title>Servicemembers’ Choice in Transition
			 Act of 2013</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="HD1105B6A369E42678E6B65D5E14A5619" section-type="subsequent-section"><enum>2.</enum><header>Contents of Transition
			 Assistance Program</header>
			<subsection id="HE3081504203D4F889AA7F506445698D4"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In
			 general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 1144 of title
			 10, United States Code, is amended by adding at the end the following new
			 subsection:</text>
				<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H4E77A1EA522A461B810C016359BDA6AD" style="USC">
					<subsection display-inline="no-display-inline" id="HD17A76607F4D4C0683352D2CAEF5A551"><enum>(f)</enum><header>Program
				contents</header><text>The program carried out by this section shall consist of
				at least five days of instruction as follows:</text>
						<paragraph display-inline="no-display-inline" id="HECB5E771236F4BE2AC9FEFB1D4B64926"><enum>(1)</enum><text>At least one day
				of service-specific pre-separation training, as determined by the Secretary
				concerned.</text>
						</paragraph><paragraph display-inline="no-display-inline" id="HB41F2037549941C9A7C28E4E539A0253"><enum>(2)</enum><text>Not more than one
				day of instruction providing an overview of each of the following
				subjects:</text>
							<subparagraph id="HD7E824F9FAB0456080B9E05050F241A7"><enum>(A)</enum><text>Preparation for
				employment.</text>
							</subparagraph><subparagraph id="H0B8B4357317F4377BA36FF8A0C4B4E3F"><enum>(B)</enum><text>Preparation for
				education or career or technical training.</text>
							</subparagraph><subparagraph id="HCDB55A5119B84EFD815E629082EE7BCA"><enum>(C)</enum><text>Preparation for
				entrepreneurship.</text>
							</subparagraph><subparagraph id="H6B8C2E4663E24A40A8787EAEF4EEBFB9"><enum>(D)</enum><text>Other options
				determined by the Secretary concerned.</text>
							</subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph display-inline="no-display-inline" id="HAD6FCC27FD984F05B9240716C4CFF736"><enum>(3)</enum><text>At least two days
				of in-depth instruction in the participants choice of the subjects described in
				paragraphs (A) though (D) of paragraph (2).</text>
						</paragraph><paragraph display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H08503D8459774951BC3425E6AC16376A"><enum>(4)</enum><text>Not more than one
				day of instruction in the benefits under laws administered by the Secretary of
				Veterans Affairs and in other subjects determined by the Secretary
				concerned.</text>
						</paragraph></subsection><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
			</subsection><subsection id="H4711568D20FF4E0AA762E3ECCFC95241"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Deadline for
			 implementation</header><text>The program carried out under section 1144 of
			 title 10, United States Code, shall comply with the requirements of subsection
			 (f) of such section, as added by subsection (a), by not later than 180 days
			 after the date of the enactment of this Act.</text>
			</subsection><subsection id="H641939DD868B4B0598738A3D5BB458C6"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Feasibility
			 study</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Not later than 180 days
			 after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary of Veterans Affairs
			 shall submit to the Committees on Veterans’ Affairs of the Senate and House of
			 Representatives the results of a study carried out by the Secretary to
			 determine the feasibility of providing the instruction described in subsection
			 (f)(4) of <external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/10/1144">section 1144</external-xref> of title 10, United States Code, as added by subsection
			 (a), at all overseas locations where such instruction is provided by entering
			 into a contract jointly with the Secretary of Labor for the provision of such
			 instruction.</text>
			</subsection></section></legis-body>
