		<official-title>To amend the Controlled Substances Act to exclude
		  industrial hemp from the definition of marihuana, and for other

		<section id="H2E4166A501D94F819B9C0DE463E8A4AA" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote><short-title>Industrial Hemp Farming Act of
			 2013</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="H64055DEA22574CB59EFD032473AFD0A8"><enum>2.</enum><header>Exclusion of
			 industrial hemp from definition of marihuana</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 102 of the Controlled Substances Act
			 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/21/802">21 U.S.C. 802</external-xref>) is amended—</text>
			<paragraph id="HA2E163A0D25143D08C4A4420B64C4471"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in paragraph
			 (16)—</text>
				<subparagraph id="H6586CBC0E7B84E458B18C69A15348AD2"><enum>(A)</enum><text>by striking
			 <quote>(16) The</quote> and inserting <quote>(16)(A) The</quote>; and</text>
				</subparagraph><subparagraph id="H0F07731068804488A9E48C113B2AFBA1"><enum>(B)</enum><text>by adding at the
			 end the following:</text>
					<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H0A1F5FCCCBE549738E393EBD80BD42EA" style="OLC">
						<subparagraph id="H0EFCD508EC8E41E088C9DCE4B0B3B7DB" indent="up1"><enum>(B)</enum><text>The term <term>marihuana</term> does
				not include industrial hemp.</text>
						</subparagraph><after-quoted-block>;
				and</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
				</subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph id="H696BD637B8FA4BBD8642EC54934E254A"><enum>(2)</enum><text>by adding at the
			 end the following:</text>

					<paragraph id="H8000A758E9AA42AD909F5DD5538FBF7E"><enum>(57)</enum><text>The term
				<term>industrial hemp</term> means the plant Cannabis sativa L. and any part of
				such plant, whether growing or not, with a delta-9 tet­ra­hy­dro­can­nab­i­nol
				concentration of not more than 0.3 percent on a dry weight
				basis.</text>
					</paragraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
			</paragraph></section><section id="HB9B8EFCEA5B4456B8125F858CF983107"><enum>3.</enum><header>Industrial hemp
			 determination</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 201 of
			 the Controlled Substances Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/21/811">21 U.S.C. 811</external-xref>) is amended by adding at the end
			 the following:</text>
			<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H30050B52D8F146B590F697E9DAAF2CB1" style="OLC">
				<subsection id="H5F14983080B24498A845441ED8043EFD"><enum>(i)</enum><header>Industrial hemp
				determination</header><text>If a person grows or processes Cannabis sativa L.
				for purposes of making industrial hemp in accordance with State law, the
				Cannabis sativa L. shall be deemed to meet the concentration limitation under
				section
				102(57).</text>
