		<official-title>To prohibit the disbursement of funds for salaries and
		  expenses of the offices of Members and committees of Congress and to hold the
		  salaries of Members of Congress in escrow if Congress does not adopt a
		  concurrent resolution on the budget on or before May 15 of each year, and for
		  other purposes.</official-title>

		<section id="H8AC5E4FAD261487E9BCFFD6499CBC1F8" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote><short-title>Do Your Job Act</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="H94CAE5AC83A1406992259DDA715C2B31" section-type="subsequent-section"><enum>2.</enum><header>Prohibiting
			 disbursement of funds for salaries and expenses of Member and committee offices
			 if congress fails to adopt budget resolution</header>
			<subsection id="H13A06E9ECF8946B99A6131908BF7AF6D"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Salaries and
			 expenses of offices</header>
				<paragraph id="HDD3109344BF349B9BB5CC62FD7F2AD3B"><enum>(1)</enum><header>Prohibition</header><text>If
			 on or before May 15 of any year Congress does not adopt a concurrent resolution
			 on the budget for the fiscal year that begins on October 1 of that year, no
			 funds may be disbursed for the salaries and expenses (including travel
			 expenses) of any of the offices described in subsection (b) until Congress
			 adopts a concurrent resolution on the budget for that fiscal year.</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="H607432659F1C493C86B174A077275879"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Treatment of
			 member salaries</header><text>Paragraph (1) does not apply to funds disbursed
			 for the salary of any Member of Congress, which shall be subject to escrow in
			 accordance with section 3.</text>
				</paragraph></subsection><subsection id="H2F8119EEBD2D449F8D2663E7EE71B7CC"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Offices
			 described</header><text>The offices described in this subsection are as
			 follows:</text>
				<paragraph id="H3C3BB06D0A94411CB7213DE5FA3B9428"><enum>(1)</enum><text>The office of any
			 Member of Congress.</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="H6B560103E3E746F9BF54C98BFFC32F4B"><enum>(2)</enum><text>The office of any
			 standing, select, or joint committee of Congress.</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="HD22FFACEC90C402F97757FA5E014B99A"><enum>(3)</enum><text>An office of the
			 House of Representatives for which the appropriation for salaries and expenses
			 of the office for the year involved is provided under the heading <quote>House
			 Leadership Offices</quote> in the act making appropriations for the Legislative
			 Branch for the fiscal year involved (in addition to any office of a Member of
			 Congress referred to in paragraph (1)).</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="HED5E62050D08438CA1867527C1542BF4"><enum>(4)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The offices of the President pro Tempore,
			 Majority and Minority Leaders, Majority and Minority Whips, Conferences of the
			 Majority and of the Minority, and Majority and Minority Policy Committees of
			 the Senate (in addition to any office of a Member of Congress referred to in
			 paragraph (1)).</text>
				</paragraph></subsection></section><section display-inline="no-display-inline" id="HC62D58EF69C04381A401CCF804FF051B" section-type="subsequent-section"><enum>3.</enum><header>Holding salaries of
			 members of congress in escrow if congress fails to adopt budget
			 resolution</header>
			<subsection id="H4D66765D1B704B778881E2697216C64C"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Escrow</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">If on or before May 15 of any year Congress
			 does not adopt a concurrent resolution on the budget for the fiscal year that
			 begins on October 1 of that year, the Secretary of the Treasury shall deposit
			 all payments otherwise required to be made for the compensation of Members of
			 Congress in an escrow account, and shall release such payments to the Members
			 only upon the adoption by Congress of a concurrent resolution on the budget for
			 that fiscal year.</text>
			</subsection><subsection id="HB7FA5995736B4CE8B2A94F6EFB7B8600"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Withholding and
			 remittance of amounts from payments held in escrow</header><text>The Secretary
			 of the Treasury shall provide for the same withholding and remittance with
			 respect to a payment deposited in an escrow account under subsection (a) that
			 would apply to the payment if the payment were not subject to subsection
			 (a).</text>
			</subsection><subsection id="H44859DE3BCD54B8D8EF39ACD12BCB157"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Coordination
			 with House and Senate</header><text>The Secretary of the Treasury shall enter
			 into such agreements with the Chief Administrative Officer of the House of
			 Representatives and the Secretary of the Senate as may be necessary to carry
			 out this section.</text>
			</subsection></section><section display-inline="no-display-inline" id="HA8F5C355D33143199019AED81E869073"><enum>4.</enum><header>Member of
			 Congress Defined</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">In this Act,
			 the term <term>Member of Congress</term> means an individual serving in a
			 position under subparagraph (A), (B), or (C) of section 601(a) of the
			 Legislative Reorganization Act of 1946 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/2/31">2 U.S.C. 31</external-xref>).</text>
		</section><section id="HD84E7BB5CD6B4E0DA7D6A5B82C62401D"><enum>5.</enum><header>Effective
			 date</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act shall apply with
			 respect to fiscal year 2014 and each succeeding fiscal year.</text>
