R. 3350</legis-num><current-chamber display="yes">IN THE SENATE OF THE UNITED STATES</current-chamber><action><action-date date="20131118">November 18, 2013</action-date><action-desc>Received</action-desc></action><action><action-date date="20131220">December 20, 2013</action-date><action-desc>Read twice and referred to the <committee-name committee-id="SSHR00">Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions</committee-name></action-desc></action><legis-type>AN ACT</legis-type><official-title display="yes">To authorize health insurance issuers to continue to offer for sale current individual health insurance coverage in satisfaction of the minimum essential health insurance coverage requirement, and for other purposes.</official-title></form><legis-body id="H391E8F9F841349E1BEE991466B35F3E8" style="OLC"><section id="H8DF9E428C5B44DD382DF9242D9A1742F" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Keep Your Health Plan Act of 2013</short-title></quote>.</text></section><section id="H537E2B1D61B94389BB091AD8D0D6A5E4"><enum>2.</enum><header>If you like your health care plan, you can keep it</header><subsection id="HB0DFB1ABF19C4743A43715F85E2C567D"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Notwithstanding any provision of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (including any amendment made by such Act or by the Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act of 2010), a health insurance issuer that has in effect health insurance coverage in the individual market as of January 1, 2013, may continue after such date to offer such coverage for sale during 2014 in such market outside of an Exchange established under section 1311 or 1321 of such Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/18031">42 U.S.C. 18031</external-xref>, 18041).</text></subsection><subsection id="H46C1A7C0956246BF8F8ADFDD54A33661"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Treatment as grandfathered health plan in satisfaction of minimum essential coverage</header><text>Health insurance coverage described in subsection (a) shall be treated as a grandfathered health plan <pagebreak></pagebreak>for purposes of the amendment made by section 1501(b) of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.</text></subsection></section></legis-body><attestation><attestation-group><attestation-date chamber="House" date="20131115">Passed the House of Representatives November 15, 2013.</attestation-date><attestor display="yes">Karen L.
