R. 3327</legis-num><current-chamber>IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES</current-chamber><action><action-date date="20131023">October 23, 2013</action-date><action-desc><sponsor name-id="K000385">Ms. Kelly of Illinois</sponsor> introduced the following bill; which was referred to the <committee-name committee-id="HWM00">Committee on Ways and Means</committee-name></action-desc></action><legis-type>A BILL</legis-type><official-title>To amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to provide an extension of the work opportunity tax credit for veterans.</official-title></form><legis-body id="H87023D2758194B18AB0DF5DC66AC6B35" style="OLC"><section id="HBAE6D34712034AA195BEB5156AFB6210" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Extension of work opportunity tax credit for veterans</header><subsection id="HF3394ABE38A048F887E9F5E504B373AD"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Subparagraph (B) of <external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/26/51">section 51(c)(4)</external-xref> of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 is amended by inserting <quote>(December 31, 2018, in the case of any qualified veteran)</quote> before the period at the end.</text></subsection><subsection id="H997FE2937E39430284ECEC14D6887C85"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Effective date</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The amendment made by this section shall apply to individuals who begin work for the employer after December 31, 2013.</text></subsection></section></legis-body></bill>
