		<official-title>To amend the Continuing Appropriations Resolution, 2013
		  (<external-xref legal-doc="public-law" parsable-cite="pl/112/175">Public Law 112–175</external-xref>) to permit research on firearms safety and gun
		  violence.</official-title>

		<section id="H5A7380C6695943BFA23BF598F48D1557" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">The Act may be cited as the
			 <quote><short-title>Firearm Safety and Public Health Research Act of
			 2013</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="H208DE37DE3AE4852A485529E8F6B7863"><enum>2.</enum><header>Permitting the
			 use of Federal funds for research on firearms safety and gun
			 violence</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">The Continuing
			 Appropriations Resolution, 2013 (<external-xref legal-doc="public-law" parsable-cite="pl/112/175">Public Law 112–175</external-xref>) is amended by inserting
			 after section 155 the following:</text>
			<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H1224E935D9504BE899D7A21556DF593F" style="traditional">
				<section id="HBE6416D168D541CE97D79B573C149E8B"><enum>156.</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Notwithstanding section 101, sections 218
				and 503(c) of division F of the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2012 (Public
				Law 112–74) shall not apply to amounts made available by this joint resolution
				insofar as such sections relate to any activity to conduct research on firearms
				safety or gun
				violence.</text>
