		<section id="HD01CF9877913472EB7579AA19A265015" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote><short-title>Cider Industry Deserves Equal
			 Regulation Act</short-title></quote> or the <quote><short-title>CIDER Act</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="H7ED126D7E7B943448B7D642DC168D02B"><enum>2.</enum><header>Modification of
			 hard cider definition</header>
			<subsection id="HA71D847B2C0F4416B0A48A8F5CDBBD0C"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In
			 general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 5041 of the
			 Internal Revenue Code of 1986 is amended by adding at the end the following new
			 subsection:</text>
				<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H0E814CACE5D844F7AFB948E7FE80D570" style="OLC">
					<subsection id="HC8778867C11441719FB9A03E70AD07A2"><enum>(g)</enum><header>Hard
				cider</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">For purposes of this
				section, the term <term>hard cider</term> means any wine—</text>
						<paragraph id="HF195BD4F808B4E71B870AA1C9E32AC16"><enum>(1)</enum><text>the carbonation
				level of which does not exceed 6.4 grams per liter,</text>
						</paragraph><paragraph id="H0C1A5ED42B994DEE9D8A77F92877A2AB"><enum>(2)</enum><text>which is derived
				primarily from apples, apple juice concentrate and water, pears, or pear juice
				concentrate and water,</text>
						</paragraph><paragraph id="H29B3A6A4DDBB4E008AF1809997C0423E"><enum>(3)</enum><text>which contains no
				fruit product or fruit flavoring other than apple or pear, and</text>
						</paragraph><paragraph id="H8F69D261330143398D2626C5B91D07D8"><enum>(4)</enum><text>which contains at
				least one-half of 1 percent and less than 8.5 percent alcohol by
				volume.</text>
						</paragraph></subsection><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
			</subsection><subsection id="HD4E4CBDEB8374E5B8805641D6ECBEF47"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Conforming
			 amendment</header><text>Paragraph (6) of section 5041(b) of such Code is
			 amended by striking <quote>which is a still wine</quote> and all that follows
			 through <quote>alcohol by volume</quote>.</text>
			</subsection><subsection id="HFF1C1375E1F24046AED1511755C3B72E"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Effective
			 date</header><text>The amendments made by this section shall apply to wine
			 removed after September 30, 2014.</text>
