<official-title>To discontinue eligibility of former Members of Congress and their dependents for coverage under the Federal Employees Health Benefit Program (FEHBP) if the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act is repealed.</official-title>

<section id="H5A0CACC4D069456FB07F888620319B14" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>No Health Care for Life for Congress Act of 2013</short-title></quote>. </text></section> 
<section id="HC5FF1BD0A887466C9D9E2610CE6A3A61"><enum>2.</enum><header>Discontinuing eligibility of former Members of Congress and their dependents for coverage under FEHBP if PPACA is repealed</header> 
<subsection id="H114FAFA774074068B47AF5506A6EB936"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Notwithstanding any other provision of law, if the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (<external-xref legal-doc="public-law" parsable-cite="pl/111/148">Public Law 111–148</external-xref>) is repealed, as of the first day of the first month beginning 30 days after the date of enactment of such repeal, any individual who is a former Member of Congress shall not be eligible to enroll or continue coverage for the former Member or the former Member’s dependents in a health benefits plan under the Federal Employees Health Benefits Program under <external-xref legal-doc="usc-chapter" parsable-cite="usc-chapter/5/89">chapter 89</external-xref> of title 5, United States Code.</text></subsection> 
<subsection id="H5E7EB0A8BEB443EC8B34C1E22CBE56CA"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Limitation</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Subsection (a) only applies to coverage derived by virtue of service as a former Member of Congress and does not apply to coverage under <external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/5/8905a">section 8905a</external-xref> of title 5, United States Code. </text></subsection> 
<subsection id="H7194643C9AE94E1A8B89E80E02641EF7"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Former Member defined</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">In this section, the term <term>former Member of Congress</term> means an individual who—</text> 
<paragraph id="H1742A3870DAC45C38AA0BB5708D7BC62"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">who was a member of the Senate or House of Representatives, a Delegate to the House of Representatives, or the Resident Commissioner from Puerto Rico; and</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H1F118912AD8441B4ABE39C0E2228013C"><enum>(2)</enum><text> who qualifies for coverage under <external-xref legal-doc="usc-chapter" parsable-cite="usc-chapter/5/89">chapter 89</external-xref> of title 5, United States Code, as an annuitant under section 8901(3)(A) of such title immediately after retirement as such a member, Delegate, or Resident Commissioner.</text> </paragraph></subsection></section>
