		<official-title>To amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to clarify
		  eligibility for the child tax credit.</official-title>

		<section id="H8D2D9A68EAA54CA1A00C59358944FA0B" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote><short-title>Child Tax Credit Integrity
			 Preservation Act of 2013</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="HB446F11A987149D6998119E7E8278388"><enum>2.</enum><header>Eligibility for
			 child tax credit</header>
			<subsection id="HA7E1479FEC93471CA27529AD07F24650"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In
			 general</header><text>Subsection (e) of section 24 of the Internal Revenue Code
			 of 1986 is amended by striking <quote>under this section to a taxpayer</quote>
			 and all that follows and inserting “under this section to any taxpayer
			 unless—</text>
				<quoted-block act-name="" id="H66FF1E2872D94907925E2FBF31EE41B3" style="OLC">
					<paragraph id="H0AEF3F2D784442FC95463FE099099E47"><enum>(1)</enum><text>such taxpayer
				includes the taxpayer’s valid identification number (as defined in section
				6428(h)(2)) on the return of tax for the taxable year, and</text>
					</paragraph><paragraph id="H4B1F447373F641C0921456DA48F9C876"><enum>(2)</enum><text>with respect to
				any qualifying child, the taxpayer includes the name and taxpayer
				identification number of such qualifying child on such return of
				tax.</text>
					</paragraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
			</subsection><subsection id="HB3D571187FA4408F9B010BE040C2FC2B"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Effective
			 date</header><text>The amendment made by this section shall apply to taxable
			 years beginning after the date of the enactment of this Act.</text>
