R. 2650</legis-num><associated-doc display="yes" role="report">[Report No. 113–194]</associated-doc><current-chamber display="yes">IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES</current-chamber><action><action-date date="20130710">July 10, 2013</action-date><action-desc><sponsor name-id="N000127">Mr. Nolan</sponsor> introduced the following bill; which was referred to the <committee-name committee-id="HII00">Committee on Natural Resources</committee-name></action-desc></action><action><action-date date="20130910">September 10, 2013</action-date><action-desc>Committed to the Committee of the Whole House on the State of the Union and ordered to be printed<pagebreak></pagebreak></action-desc></action><legis-type>A BILL</legis-type><official-title display="yes">To allow the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa in the State of Minnesota to lease or transfer certain land.<pagebreak></pagebreak></official-title></form><legis-body id="H9A35755430CD4C3C93B6818B72414DDC" style="OLC"><section id="H10B6B5D9622F4615B55B74A00A5C0ADF" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Non-Intercourse Act of 2013</short-title></quote>.</text></section><section id="H51F166EC065D4DE6B4494030687655C9" section-type="subsequent-section"><enum>2.</enum><header>Congressional approval of certain land transactions</header><subsection id="HB839D29C0FDB44E1BF07BEFBC3F60550"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text>Notwithstanding any other provision of law, and without further approval, ratification, or authorization by the United States, the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa in the State of Minnesota (referred to in this Act as the <term>Band</term>) may lease, sell, convey, warrant, or otherwise transfer all or any portion of the interest of the Band in any real property that is not held in trust by the United States for the benefit of the Band.</text></subsection><subsection id="H0252E8F6F4E441AE98592E5A91A22DB3"><enum>(b)</enum><header>No effect on trust land</header><text>Nothing in this Act—</text><paragraph id="HF0671342B547467FB1E0C4F772944DD4"><enum>(1)</enum><text>authorizes the Band to lease, sell, convey, warrant, or otherwise transfer all or any portion of any interest in any real property that is held in trust by the United States for the benefit of the Band; or</text></paragraph><paragraph id="HDBC58A2C19F5421B894DC9B12C65F056"><enum>(2)</enum><text>affects any Federal law (including regulations) relating to leasing, selling, conveying, warranting, or otherwise transferring any interest in the real property described in paragraph (1).</text></paragraph></subsection></section></legis-body><endorsement display="yes"><action-date date="20130910">September 10, 2013</action-date><action-desc>Committed to the Committee of the Whole House on the State of the Union and ordered to be printed</action-desc></endorsement></bill>
