		<official-title>To amend the S.A.F.E. Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 to
		  permit a transitional period of 90 days for completion of requirements for
		  qualified registered mortgage loan originators.</official-title>

		<section id="HCB8F5FDFC195485CA095536D7C1F9433" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote><short-title>Qualified Mortgage Loan Originator
			 Transitional Authority Act of 2013</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="H3C3FF994E6DC4EC1B42D3CA2B8980129"><enum>2.</enum><header>Transitional
			 authority for qualified bank mortgage loan originators to be employed by
			 non-bank mortgage lenders</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 1504 of the S.A.F.E. Mortgage
			 Licensing Act of 2008 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/12/5103">12 U.S.C. 5103</external-xref>) is amended—</text>
			<paragraph id="HB33E259D96174D46B6FE849E0F5561D3"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in subsection (a),
			 by inserting after <quote>as the case may be,</quote> the following: <quote>and
			 except as provided in subsection (c),</quote>; and</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="HD0CFBC0B2C3649079897D16CA8C7BB02"><enum>(2)</enum><text>by adding at the
			 end the following:</text>
				<quoted-block id="HA66E77C4670648F08CEC9B6C827A7EDC" style="OLC">
					<subsection id="H7B5ADE084E5D49DE94E5676BD940A75B"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Transitional
				authority</header><text>Notwithstanding the requirements of section 1505, an
				individual who complies with the submission requirements of section 1505(a) and
				who, within the preceding 60 days, was a registered loan originator that met
				the standard of being qualified described under section 129B(b)(1)(A) of the
				Truth in Lending Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/15/1639b">15 U.S.C. 1639b(b)(1)(A)</external-xref>), may act as a loan originator
				during the 90-day period following such submission, under the supervision of a
				State-licensed firm that engages in loan origination. Upon the end of such
				90-day period, the authority to act as a loan originator conveyed by this
				subsection shall
				terminate.</text>
