		<section id="H3F5C73CFD3624E749806BCD9A8F3A0C4" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote><short-title>HALT the IRS
			 Act</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="HB531E0C7364E4D5EAE62920F7D51977F"><enum>2.</enum><header>Suspension of
			 authority of IRS to initiate new audits</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">An officer or employee of the Internal
			 Revenue Service shall not initiate any new audit of any taxpayer during the
			 180-day period beginning with the date of the enactment of this Act.</text>
