		  Government-owned transuranic waste for the benefit of all

		<section id="HE52D293789E64A5A8BD81929D56E5908" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote><short-title>Government Waste Isolation Pilot Plant
			 Extension Act of 2013</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="HB33635E2130440CEB6C79EC6D1365506"><enum>2.</enum><header>Extension of
			 waste isolation pilot plant mission</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">The Secretary of Energy shall manage WIPP in
			 such a way as to include, in addition to the disposal of wastes authorized by
			 section 213 of the Department of Energy National Security and Military
			 Applications of Nuclear Energy Authorization Act of 1980 (<external-xref legal-doc="public-law" parsable-cite="pl/96/164">Public Law 96–164</external-xref>; 93
			 Stat. 1259, 1265), the transportation and disposal of any non-defense Federal
			 Government-owned transuranic waste that can be shown to meet the applicable
			 criteria described in the document entitled <term>Transuranic Waste Acceptance
			 Criteria For The Waste Isolation Pilot Plant</term>, published by the
			 Department of Energy on April 21, 2011, or any successor document.</text>
		</section><section id="H39B15EBA5EED49838057F284C4FB4F46"><enum>3.</enum><header>Definitions</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">In this Act:</text>
			<paragraph id="H3D51B61598094408B686191B9865E63A"><enum>(1)</enum><header>Disposal;
			 transuranic waste</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The terms
			 <term>disposal</term> and <term>transuranic waste</term> have the meanings
			 given those terms in section 2 of the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant Land
			 Withdrawal Act (<external-xref legal-doc="public-law" parsable-cite="pl/102/579">Public Law 102–579</external-xref>; 106 Stat. 4777).</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="HCE7A38992B654BD3B1E8E8337666C3C6"><enum>(2)</enum><header>WIPP</header><text>The
			 term <term>WIPP</term> means the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant project authorized
			 under section 213 of the Department of Energy National Security and Military
			 Applications of Nuclear Energy Authorization Act of 1980 (<external-xref legal-doc="public-law" parsable-cite="pl/96/164">Public Law 96–164</external-xref>; 93
			 Stat. 1259, 1265).</text>
