		<official-title>To amend title II of the Social Security Act to prevent
		  concurrent receipt of unemployment benefits and Social Security disability
		  insurance, and for other purposes.</official-title>

		<section id="HE0B9E918B8DC4EA1B86506C41BF0AF9C" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short Title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote><short-title>Social Security Disability Insurance
			 and Unemployment Benefits Double Dip Elimination
			 Act</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="HFB26F63FF5F14CEE9654F34C8FE64F77"><enum>2.</enum><header>Disqualification
			 on receipt of disability insurance benefits in a month for which unemployment
			 compensation is received</header>
			<subsection id="H760DD22B8020456AA3A5BA5D29AF81FA"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In
			 general</header><text>Section 223(d)(4) of the Social Security Act (42 U.S.C.
			 423(d)(4)) is amended by adding at the end the following:</text>
				<quoted-block id="H042D58C2321A4341960C4A37BB3DFFC1" style="OLC">
					<subparagraph id="H48FF91220D2D478FACDEB7EC8E521D78" indent="up2"><enum>(C)</enum><clause commented="no" display-inline="yes-display-inline" id="HA937E121B7E5435188665BDCA45613D4"><enum>(i)</enum><text>If for any month an
				individual is entitled to unemployment compensation, such individual shall be
				deemed to have engaged in substantial gainful activity for such month.</text>
						</clause><clause id="H9F9E424064084C3BBBFC0D8A0E63809B" indent="up1"><enum>(ii)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">For purposes of clause (i), the term
				<quote>unemployment compensation</quote> means—</text>
							<subclause id="HF761C9E7F57D4284BFA5E1322B06645F"><enum>(I)</enum><text><quote>regular compensation</quote>,
				<quote>extended compensation</quote>, and <quote>additional
				compensation</quote> (as such terms are defined by section 205 of the
				Federal-State Extended Unemployment Compensation Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/26/3304">26 U.S.C. 3304</external-xref> note));
				and</text>
							</subclause><subclause id="H8E5BD5F131BD4B5E93AB3085377D0DFC"><enum>(II)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">trade adjustment assistance under title II
				of the Trade Act of 1974 (19 U.S.C. 2251 et
				seq.).</text>
							</subclause></clause></subparagraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
			</subsection><subsection id="H65522A325C894ABC85AB50AABBA6BD49"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Trial work
			 period</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 222(c) of the
			 Social Security Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/422">42 U.S.C. 422(c)</external-xref>) is amended by adding at the end the
			 following:</text>
				<quoted-block id="HDDDBD8A43D9B4052954179E529A1F4D4" style="OLC">
					<paragraph id="H38A21A4DCB214BCDBC5DED32296ED5C5" indent="up1"><enum>(6)</enum><subparagraph commented="no" display-inline="yes-display-inline" id="HEF5F1C8CF4E4453B8CA63854B3617447"><enum>(A)</enum><text>For purposes of this
				subsection, an individual shall be deemed to have rendered services in a month
				if the individual is entitled to unemployment compensation for such
				month.</text>
						</subparagraph><subparagraph id="H0A0F3561CDCC4A5CBA4993E9216FEB3E" indent="up1"><enum>(B)</enum><text>For purposes of subparagraph (A), the
				term <quote>unemployment compensation</quote> means—</text>
							<clause id="HB2B7162A8F2F4926A7226256348CBDCC"><enum>(i)</enum><text><quote>regular compensation</quote>,
				<quote>extended compensation</quote>, and <quote>additional
				compensation</quote> (as such terms are defined by section 205 of the
				Federal-State Extended Unemployment Compensation Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/26/3304">26 U.S.C. 3304</external-xref> note));
				and</text>
							</clause><clause id="H2C3D4BD68C584CDA98A7BDC6C90D8863"><enum>(ii)</enum><text>trade adjustment assistance under
				title II of the Trade Act of 1974 (19 U.S.C. 2251 et
				seq.).</text>
							</clause></subparagraph></paragraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
			</subsection><subsection id="H70CB708C6D764768897EAA4E3CB011BF"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Data
			 matching</header><text>The Commissioner of Social Security shall implement the
			 amendments made by this section using appropriate electronic data.</text>
			</subsection><subsection id="HB8B89F6CCB58407DAD1C1255C3877EA9"><enum>(d)</enum><header>Effective
			 date</header><text>The amendments made by this section shall apply with respect
			 to months after December 2013.</text>
