		<section id="HE974B675AAEB430DABEB228C36686C76" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote><short-title>Marine Turtle Conservation
			 Reauthorization Act of 2013</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="H12E7A2DCB13B440F9D15744A62D52BFF"><enum>2.</enum><header>Amendments to
			 provisions preventing funding of projects in the United States</header>
			<subsection id="H1331B4C7E4D9414DAEA19EE788A05082"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In
			 general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The Marine Turtle
			 Conservation Act of 2004 is amended—</text>
				<paragraph id="H9C9E081AA20247F1B8AF08C8667AF6A6"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in section 2(b)
			 (16 U.S.C.
			 6601(b)), by striking <quote>in foreign countries
			 </quote>;</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="H2DC41E1998414402A14DC0A0B72B36EC"><enum>(2)</enum><text>in section 3(2)
			 (16 U.S.C.
			 6602(2))—</text>
					<subparagraph id="H4F2C189CCCD5460EA1E2B101B08619FD"><enum>(A)</enum><text>in the matter
			 preceding subparagraph (A), by striking <quote>in foreign countries </quote>;
			 and</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="H1007C604203E42FEA8596FFCC3EF12B0"><enum>(B)</enum><text>in subparagraph
			 (D), by striking <quote>of foreign countries</quote>; and</text>
					</subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph id="H7BE6F38569894A41A2089F201C06F9B0"><enum>(3)</enum><text>in section 4 (16
			 U.S.C. 6603)—</text>
					<subparagraph id="H10B9041C50C94545AD58816728AAFAA2"><enum>(A)</enum><text>in subsection
			 (b)(1)(A), by inserting <quote>State or</quote> before <quote>foreign
			 country</quote>; and</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="HADB24E5D9C374C788CD9F95E45921F34"><enum>(B)</enum><text>in subsection (d),
			 by striking <quote>in foreign countries </quote>.</text>
					</subparagraph></paragraph></subsection><subsection id="HEB85AE7044D14A3EBD30F59BB7A92D30"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Definitions</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 3 of such Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/16/6602">16 U.S.C. 6602</external-xref>) is
			 amended by adding at the end the following new paragraphs:</text>
				<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="HE5FAA9DC9875459696F1B419EA361308" style="OLC">
					<paragraph id="H49D66CA420224C82BD2B6472DBDF7E19"><enum>(7)</enum><header>State</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The term <term>State</term> means each of
				the several States of the United States, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico,
				the United States Virgin Islands, Guam, American Samoa, the Commonwealth of the
				Northern Mariana Islands, any other territory or possession of the United
				States, and any Indian tribe.</text>
					</paragraph><paragraph id="H03B2C92BDDC44E29A317DCDFCF01F378"><enum>(8)</enum><header>United
				States</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The term <term>United
				States</term>, when used in the geographic sense, means the several States of
				the United States, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the United States
				Virgin Islands, Guam, American Samoa, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana
				Islands, any other territory or possession of the United States and any waters
				within the jurisdiction of the United
				States</text>
					</paragraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
			</subsection></section><section id="H4C10423FC8EF47DB9CACB23DEC5989A8"><enum>3.</enum><header>Projects in the
			 United States</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 5(b) of
			 the Marine Turtle Conservation Act of 2004 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/16/6604">16 U.S.C. 6604(b)</external-xref>) is
			 amended—</text>
			<paragraph id="H0C094CA5C6C0420AA1723890471C0B3A"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in paragraph (2),
			 by striking <quote>$80,000</quote> and inserting <quote>$150,000</quote>;
			 and</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="HA28110F88DB84352BC1AD3C8D54BDB2A"><enum>(2)</enum><text>by adding at the
			 end the following new paragraph:</text>
				<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H46E06F733E2E404281152FDAE524EF4C" style="OLC">
					<paragraph id="HEECEED44238543579AA917A04C3814E4"><enum>(3)</enum><header>Projects in the
				United States</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Not less than
				20 percent of the amounts made available from the Fund for any fiscal year may
				be used for projects relating to the conservation of marine turtles in the
				United
				States.</text>
					</paragraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
			</paragraph></section><section id="H925084231FE04392ADFDB80BDA3E1368"><enum>4.</enum><header>Reauthorization
			 of the Marine Turtle Conservation Act of 2004</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 7 of the Marine Turtle Conservation
			 Act of 2004 (16
			 U.S.C. 6606) is amended by striking <quote>each of fiscal years
			 2005 through 2009</quote> and inserting <quote>each of fiscal years 2014
			 through 2018</quote>.</text>
