		<official-title>To amend the Homeland Security Act of 2002 to direct the
		  Secretary of Homeland Security to prioritize the assignment of officers and
		  analysts to certain State and urban area fusion centers to enhance the security
		  of mass transit systems.</official-title>

		<section id="H675BD117FBE84C709CC71D928669BF34" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote><short-title>Mass Transit Intelligence
			 Prioritization Act</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="H436DAE8B6A414EFCB78DD4AA8AE455E4"><enum>2.</enum><header>Mass transit
			 intelligence prioritization</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 210A of the Homeland Security Act of
			 2002 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/6/124h">6 U.S.C. 124h</external-xref>) is amended—</text>
			<paragraph id="HD22F47B816AA455B876FA0EFD1ED21A2"><enum>(1)</enum><text>by redesignating
			 subsections (f) through (k) as subsections (g) through (l),
			 respectively;</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="H6389BCAEEFA34726A5BC4D23E69EC3F8"><enum>(2)</enum><text>in subsection (l),
			 as so redesignated, by striking <quote>subsection (i)</quote> and inserting
			 <quote>subsection (j)</quote>; and</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="H9611F5DAE80546B8AD69C8B69056AE95"><enum>(3)</enum><text>by inserting after
			 subsection (e) the following new subsection (f):</text>

					<subsection id="HA9458A530D6D4AC6A288F79363204838"><enum>(f)</enum><header>Mass transit
				intelligence priority</header>
						<paragraph id="HAC15E1336EA5404DAABFF71BE55C9480"><enum>(1)</enum><header>In
				general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The Secretary shall
				make it a priority to assign officers and intelligence analysts under this
				section from the Department, including the Transportation Security
				Administration, to participating State and urban area fusion centers located in
				high-risk jurisdictions with mass transit systems in order to enhance the
				security of such mass transit systems by assisting Federal, State, local, and
				tribal law enforcement authorities in identifying, investigating, and otherwise
				interdicting persons, weapons, and contraband that pose a threat to homeland
				security.</text>
						</paragraph><paragraph id="H99D5EC71C21049F78B690A36A4851553"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Mass transit
				intelligence products</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">When
				performing the responsibilities described in subsection (d), officers and
				intelligence analysts assigned to participating State and urban area fusion
				centers under this section shall have, as a primary responsibility, the
				creation of mass transit intelligence products that—</text>
							<subparagraph id="H18C7868473744F4E8792F7D1451DBB00"><enum>(A)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">assist State, local, and tribal law
				enforcement agencies in deploying their resources most efficiently to help
				detect and interdict terrorists, weapons of mass destruction, and contraband at
				mass transit systems of the United States;</text>
							</subparagraph><subparagraph id="H653124BF524043068B0774BF57179675"><enum>(B)</enum><text>promote more
				consistent and timely dissemination of mass transit security-relevant
				information among jurisdictions with mass transit systems; and</text>
							</subparagraph><subparagraph id="H0AB6A8C732C942C48BDD3DC2086F50DA"><enum>(C)</enum><text>enhance the
				Department’s situational awareness with respect to the threat of acts of
				terrorism at or involving mass transit systems of the United
				States.</text>
