- Abstract
- This cooperative agreement expanded the high resolution ROMS model domain developed for the Southern California Bight to north of Point Conception, including Morro Bay, and used more observational data collected from satellite, ship based and mooring platforms for improved model assimilation and validation. This provides BOEM with a more accurate, high-resolution, ten-year hindcast of atmospheric and oceanographic parameters, which will improve the BOEM Pacific Region’s ability to conduct oil spill risk analysis for the Southern California planning area.
